Sugar Grove, IL – The U.S. economy added a robust 273,000 jobs in February in addition to upward revisions for December and January, indicating that so far, the coronavirus has had minimal impact on job growth, according to Jim Oberweis.
In addition, the jobless rate stands at 3.5 percent and wages increased by 3 percent last month.
“The economy is strong thanks to the economic policies of President Trump,” Oberweis said. “If we want these economic trends to continue, we need leaders in Washington D.C. who will support the policies that have created this boom economy. The jobless rate is decreasing, and wages are going up. This is great news for working families across the 14th District. I am looking forward to working with President Trump to continue bringing more jobs and opportunities to our nation, our state and our district.”
